This particular place changes dramatically each day. There is a rock platform that is inundated when the tide comes in. The afternoon when I took this photograph, cormorants were bobbing in and out of the swell, diving down and appearing in completely different locations. It’s relaxing and comforting to stand and watch and feel the rhythm of the waves flowing in and out.

I used a long exposure and panned the camera to create a feeling of timelessness.
