Australian Blue Wren by Marta Blaszak – With its beautiful sky blue-coloured caps, which become iridescent during breeding season, the Blue Wren are much-loved Australian birds. They live in small groups in shrubby bushes, and I can see them almost every day during my walks around the lake in Forest Lake. Apparently, the male fairy-wrens sings to their eggs and their chicks come out recognising their parent’s unique song.

‘Australian Blue Wren’ is a watercolour painting on a 10cm x 14cm white Board and framed with a white 14cm x 18cm frame without glass. A hanging wire is attached to the back. The painting is finished with gloss acrylic.

Because of the size of the paintings, they are categorised as “small format art”.
