Australian flora always inspired my art as it is everywhere around me. The texture of leaves and rocks have always fascinated me and always were a challenge to recreate them in Acrylics in a natural looking way.

So this time I decided to  paint the gum leaves using natural colours in many different shades.  I collected a bunch of these colourful leaves from my backyard and laid them out on the table for this painting.

This original painting of  ‘Australian Gum’ is in watercolour on 300gsm watercolour paper. It has been protected with two layers of gloss varnish to bring out the bright colours. The dimensions of the painting is 28cm x 35cm and it is framed with a 32.5cm x 40.5cm x 2cm recycled black/white frame without a mat or glass allowing you to hang it immediatly.

Please note that artwork displayed in rooms are for the purpose of demonstration only and not always to the exact scale. Please check dimensions for actual size. Frames shown in the display are a suggestion only. The Hoverlay image shows the original attached frame allowing you to hang the painting immediatly. If desired, it can be changed easily by you to suit your colourscheme.
