Watercolour dyptych of Gum flowers and gum leaves – Australian flora always inspired my art as it is everywhere around me. I love to paint the fresh leaves and gum flowers of the Australian eucalyptus trees with their many different shapes and colours.

Each of these original paintings of ‘Australian White Bush Flowers’ is painted in watercolour on a small Celluka disc, prepared with Gesso. The discs are made from discarded new material. Using them for art has saved them from adding to our landfill. They will hang together to form a diptych and are protected with 3 layers of gloss varnish to bring out the bright colours. The dimension of each disc is 17 cm diameter x 1.4cm thickness. Including the connectors, they are hanging 34cm long by 17cm wide. A hanging wire is fixed across the first disc, allowing you to hang them immediately.

Because of the size of the paintings, they are categorised as “small format art”.
