Watercolour triptych of Gumnuts on eucalyptus leaves – Australian flora always inspired my art as it is everywhere around me. I love to paint the drying leaves and gumnuts of the Australian eucalyptus trees with their many different shapes and colours. For this painting I collected a bunch of gum leaves with their gumnuts from my backyard and laid them out on the table.
Each of these original paintings of ‘Australiana’ is painted in watercolour on small PVC board discs prepared with Gesso. They will hang together to form a triptych. They are protected with 3 layers of gloss varnish to bring out the bright colours. The dimension of each disc is 17 cm diameter x 1.4cm thickness. Including the connectors, they are hanging 51cm long by 17cm wide. A hanging wire is fixed across the first disc, allowing you to hang them immediately.
Paintings in this size are dynamic collectibles. Art lovers can build a collection of these small sized pictures by theme, artist, medium or even a similar colour.
