Bird of Paradise – Flora and Fauna by Lisa Dangerfield

My latest addition to my “Flora & Fauna” series where I depict the flora (bird of paradise/strelitzia) using conventional brush strokes in vivid hues and the corresponding fauna (bird of paradise) using detailed pointillism against a black background . This painting has taken many hours to complete and I’m thrilled with it. I always have one pointillism work in progress on my easel as I find it very relaxing to do.

My art mantra is “paint what you love and love what you paint”

This painting is signed on the front and a laminated, numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included. The painting is sprayed with protective satin varnish and the sides are painted the same colour as the background.
