Birds and Blooms No 5 – I have enjoyed creating this artwork so much that I intend to do several more in this “Birds and Bloom” series. Mexican folk art is my inspiration for these bright colourful paintings. This is the 2nd one done on a board and I am thrilled with it. I applied clear gesso to the board as I love the look of the raw wood grain rather than painting the background, so will be searching for boards with as much wood grain as possible. Do hope this painting brightens up your life as much it did mine in making it!
