Another painting by Marta Blaszak inspired by the bird life around the lake in Forest Lake. These tiny, beautiful birds are common around the parks and gardens where I live. They are usually seen in small social groups. The dazzling white, black and blue colours of the male Fairy Wren’s head, neck and tail distinguishes it from the female’s plain brown and white plumage. They are not shy around people and I can often observe them from close.

The painting is painted with quality Winsor-Newton watercolour on 35cm x 35cm 638gsm cold pressed watercolour paper. It is framed with a 37.5cm x 37.5cm x 4.5cm simple white frame and protected by a sheet of Perspex for safe transport. This can easily be changed for glass if needed. 2 D-Rings attached to the back and it can be hung immediately.

Because of the size of the painting, it is categorised as “small format art”. These art works are considered dynamic collectibles, as an art lover can build a collection of small sized original paintings by theme, artist, medium or even just a similar colour.
