Blue Abstract Wall Art “At Waters Edge” by Petra Meikle

This work is one of my most popular works, as so many people are drawn to these vibrant colors of the ocean and reef systems as they bring instant calm and tranquility with them.

I create abstract mixed media works inspired by the blue and turquoise waters near my home, in Cairns Tropical North Australia.
This series represents the results of mixing media, with chemistry between pigments creating dynamic compositions as they attract and repel, sometimes resulting in beautiful formations. Each work could have several layers, starting with the original layer of poured paint. I pour my scenes into place, and manipulate them further into the impressions of Coral Reefs, Channels, Sand Shores etc, as the paint drys.
With this image my hope is to transfer the viewer into a peaceful state, a state of calm as you would be if you where “At Waters Edge”

“At Waters Edge” Blue Abstract Wall Art is a Canvas print, the image is a area taken from a painting of mine, and printed on a Canvas, as a mirror Image, thin Gallery Wrap, in ready-to-hang condition.

The Colours can be digitally adjusted to lean more to – neutral / vibrant, lighter/darker – to match your taste.
