Edward and Adelaide by Michael Cawdrey

This original 35×60 cm Acrylic on primed board depicts the corner of Adelaide and Edward Streets, Brisbane, on an especially bleak and rainy day.  I was drawn to the contrast between the damp streets and the relative warmth of the shop interior.

I painted this with Professional quality Derivan and Liquitex paints and mediums, and I triple-primed the MDF panel.

Painted in 2020.

Painted with Matisse Structure and Liquitex Heavy Body acrylic paints and mediums.

The support is 3mm MDF which was triple-primed with gesso, and sealed on the back and the edges.  The painting is protected by satin-sheen varnish.

The painting is on panel and is NOT ready to hang.
