‘Evening light’ by Alicia Gilchrist was painted in the late evening outside in her backyard with the Brisbane bush as her backdrop. Alicia loved the way the last light of the day was picking up the gold in the painting and decided Evening Light would make a great title for the painting. The painting has been created by continually adding and removing layers of paint.
