‘Expectations’ is an abstract painting that emerged during an abstract workshop forcing me to depart from my normal more realistic art.

I started with loose lines on the canvas using my non-dominant hand and I deliberately limited the palette to three base colours, blue, green, and red. By turning the canvas several times, unexpected forms began to take shape. What initially started as abstract colours and lines gradually transformed into a human form.

During the creation of ‘Expectations’ I had to step outside my comfort zone and accept what was unfolding without specific expectations, but I was happy with my final result.

‘Expectation’ is an original acrylic painting on a 40cm x 50cm stretched canvas. It is framed with a generic golden 48cm x 58cm frame so it can be hung immediately but also easily re-framed if desired.  It has a hanging wire attached to the back. 

 

PLEASE NOTE that colours may differ from original painting on monitor screens, mobile devices, and tablets. Artwork displayed in rooms are for the purpose of demonstration only and not always to the exact scale. Please check dimensions for actual size. The unframed painting is shown on the Hoverlay image.
