Fez, Family Outing by Doriano Lopresto – Oil on canvas painting of a family group returning home from shopping in Fez, Morocco.This is a painting inspired by my travels overseas. While in Morocco, I saw people going about their lives much as they do here in Australia. This painting shows a family coming back from their shopping with their daily supplies. Even though it was quite warm, the children and the mother were happily chatting while the father quietly brought up the rear. Not too dissimilar to our shopping experiences in Australia. I am intrigued by the effect the light of the Mediterranean countries and the similarities it has with South Australia.
