Australian flora always inspired my art as it is everywhere around me. I love to paint the leaves and gum flowers of the Australian eucalyptus trees with their many different shapes and colours. For this painting I collected a bunch of fresh gum leaves with their flowers from my backyard and laid them out in front of me.
This original acrylic painting of ‘Red flowering Gum’ is painted on canvas bord prepared with gesso and varnished with 2 layers of gloss acrylic for protection.  It is framed with a recycled white timber frame without glass.  A hanging wire is fixed across the back, allowing you to hang it immediately.
Paintings in this size are dynamic collectibles. Art lovers can build a collection of these small sized pictures by theme, artist, medium or even a similar colour.
