The ancient Greeks & Romans considered grapes to be a gift from the Gods. This delicious fruit almost always featured in the old “Masters” paintings and is a popular still life subject for artists everywhere. I have always had a fascination with the beauty of this fruit, particularly the way it hangs like pendulums from the vine.
This semi abstracted mixed medium painting, is very heavily textured and has had many layers of overlapping coloured glazes. It has been framed in a black floating frame.
