Greek Orthodox Churches by Lisa Dangerfield – I am always looking for new subjects and styles to add to my painting portfolio.

An Athens themed exhibition a while back got me thinking about Greek religions and that started my research into the Greek Orthodox religion. I discovered that there are Greek Orthodox churches in every state and territory in Australia.

Inspired, I set about creating this painting depicting each church and including a Greek and an Australian flag and adding gum leaves and gum nuts to tie my Aussie – Greek Orthodox theme together.

I do hope my effort is well received by Greek and Australian people who view it.

This painting is signed on the front and a laminated, numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included. Sprayed with protective gloss varnish.

It is in a 6 cm wide white and black timber frame and is ready to hang.

NB: The framed art work measures 61 x 51 cm over all, includes 6cm frame, artwork dimensions 51 x 41cm
