Grey II, the second in the Grey Series of five abstract expressionism paintings on stretched canvas. Colour psychology was introduced to me during psychology studies at uni and something that has always held my interest.

Grey, said to be symbolic of both positivity, negativity is often described as unemotional. On the positive note, it represents neutrality and balance. In a sense this emotional duality comes through in the series of paintings.

The background in this mini abstract painting represents neutrality painted with layers of textured dark grey hues in contrast with brighter expressions in pastel pink, lavender, white and neon yellow highlights. The unique colour composition of this work exudes energy and vitality. Marks created with energetic gestures resulted in unique patterns,  loads of texture, which is tactile and more visible in person.

The small an impactful abstract is painted to the edges with luscious texture and is offered without an external frame. If you prefer to frame this mini artwork, I suggest a black float frame to give it an edge.
