Grounded by Cathy Gilday – I love to paint trees, especially one’s with exposed and twisted roots. In this painting, I have made them the focus, perhaps a “worms eye view.” This painting is one of a series, where I tape off strips of the paper and paint in my composition. Once the tape is removed, I then draw in these blank areas, using ink and washes. Check out the rest of the series on this site. Requires framing.
