Gumleaves for You by Marta Blaszak – Australian flora always inspired my art as it is everywhere around us. The texture of leaves and rocks have always fascinated me and always were a challenge to recreate in a natural looking way.

This painting started as a fluid acrylic pour with beautiful natural brown colours in many different shades that just reminded me of the brown tones of fallen dried eucalyptus leaves. So, I collected a bunch of the colourful autumn leaves and laid them out for this painting. I used the negative painting method to give these leaves their natural shapes.
This original painting of coloured ‘Gumleaves for you’ is an acrylic pour on acrylic paper. It has been protected with gloss acrylic spray to bring out the bright colours. The dimensions of the acrylic paper is A4. It is framed with a 32cm x 43cm x 3cm modern white frame with mat and protected by glass.
