Imperial Majesty by Lisa Dangerfield – This is a new one in my ‘Portals Series’.

I splashed blues, aqua and white paint (eat your heart out Jackson Pollock LOL) diagonally across the canvas to create a feeling of tempest rain. Next I added an outline of a female head & shoulders with the intention of calling the painting “Tempestas” (Goddess of rain/tempest).

At this point my painting took on a mind of its own! As I added the Imperial Butterflies with just touches of iridescent highlight on their wings, I was unable to resist the urge to superimpose an open window and thus “TEMPESTAS – IMPERIAL MAJESTY” is born.

This artist is thrilled and proud of this large artwork that began as an idea and became a totally different image on my canvas!

This painting is signed on the front and a laminated, numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included.
NB. I have made every effort to show the absolute exact colours of this artwork, however please be aware that there may be slight variances when viewed on different computer screens etc.

This painting has touches of iridescent paints, which do not show up well in the photographs.
