Additional Information

‘In The Dark’ is an original painting inspired by a pencil sketch I did when I was a teenager. I always wondered what a painted version of my sketch would look like, so when I started painting again after a gap of more than three decades, this was one of the few on top of my list. It took me almost two months to finish before I was satisfied to put down my brush and I’m pleased with how it has turned out. The hair is done in shades of black and browns which is more visible in real life than in the photos (The last photo is purposely overexposed to show the hair which is not very visible in the other photos) The interpretation of the scene is left to the imagination of the viewer.

The sides of the canvas have been painted so it can be hung unframed or if you prefer you can frame it according to your choice of frame after purchase. This original acrylic painting is sealed with a low gloss varnish and is ready to hang.
