Once again, inspiration for this painting came to me early one morning a couple of weeks ago. I was sound asleep when an image and the music (“In The Navy” by The Village People) woke me. It was such a wonderful dream that I scribbled it down on my notepad (which is always on my beside table, just in case I get a nocturnal inspiration!) to make sure that I didn’t forget it. Tried to get a few more hours sleep but finally got out of bed and into my studio at 7am to get started on it. Painted a navy coloured background on the canvas while “In The Navy” played in the background. Was not sure where to go next, then….. voila it all came to me! Musical notes, cute little blue birds wearing naval captains’ hats! A little kitsch, a little bit quirky but I love it! Absolutely thrilled with this conversion of my idea to a image on canvas. Do hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Would make a fabulous gift for children whose parents are in the navy or for those who’s partners are away at sea!

This painting is signed on the front and a laminated, numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included.
