This is my descriptive expression in paint where I attempt to translate my quest for colours and design to feel ‘whole’ with all the strokes and gestural marks combining to become more than the sum of their parts.

I may flounder initially with the thought of this enhanced vision, waiting for a magical discovery in abstraction to mature through constant probing and pushing, using intuitive actions then deliberate shapes until I’m satisfied with all the connections of mind, hands, tools and expression.

Continuing with my ‘Joy of Colour’ theme this textured painting has done all I have asked of it, emotionally and physically.

~Layered artist quality acrylic and oil pastels 76cm x 61cm x 4cm on deep edge canvas.
