Intrepid Ice by Cathy Gilday – This large bold painting of an ice-capped mountain has a very powerful presence. I enjoyed using multiple mediums, including a wash of iridescent glaze, which catches and reflects colourful lights on different angles. For me, the mountain represents the challenges we experience in life and the sheer strength and determination we find within ourselves at times of need.
