Just Me is a small sized work in portrait format, painted in acrylic on deep sided stretched cotton duck. The painting features an Australian sheep/lamb. This work is unframed, but is ready to hang on deep sided canvas. The painting sides are clean, raw canvas. The colours feature warm yellows, salmons, violets and creams against a rose and violet background. The brushwork is broad and textured giving an abstracted and contemporary representation of the subject. This painting would make an ideal addition to a playroom, or child’s bedroom or a kitchen.

The inspiration for this painting came from my living in a rural and regional area in central NSW. While I do not have sheep of my own, I have goats, the neighbours certainly do and I have plenty of opportunity to watch and paint.
