This artwork, with its vivid palette and dynamic, abstract composition, reflects my ongoing exploration of the interplay between memory, place, and the subconscious. Through bold, interconnected brushstrokes and layers of contrasting color, I aim to capture the energy and emotion of landscapes, both real and imagined. The pink sky and organic forms suggest an otherworldly environment, where familiar elements of nature blend with the unknown, evoking a dreamlike sense of place.

The inclusion of shapes like ladders and arches symbolizes the bridge between the seen and the unseen, encouraging viewers to traverse their own inner landscapes and personal memories. My intention is not to depict a literal space, but to invite contemplation on how we experience and interpret the world around us through layers of perception and feeling.

This piece continues my exploration of the human capacity for imagination and the collective unconscious, seeking to create a visual experience that resonates emotionally, while leaving room for individual interpretation.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Alpana is an Australian contemporary Abstract Landscape artist who has the desire to express emotion she feels from nature. Her feelings flow directly onto the canvas in an uninterrupted, intuitive flow; layers, textures and colours blend and evolve until some secret inner part feels satisfied.
