This Painting is inspired from Beautiful Landscape of Mornington Peninsula. The painting is a representation of Alpana’s own interactions with the environment rather than a physical reproduction of any particular scene. In her paintings, Alpana try to focus on the bright side of life – not in a naïve, always happy, unconcerned kind of way, but in deliberate opposition to the fact that most media tend to focus on the misery and gloominess of it all. To her, it’s important to put some kind of hope and optimism into her artwork.
