Magpie by Marta Blaszak – Magpies, black and white large birds are native to Australia. They are known to swoop onto people, warding off potential intruders or threats from their nest. I always enjoy the variety of the Australian magpie’s complex songs;

‘Magpie’ is a Mixed Media painting on 22cm x 22cm Yupo Paper. The background is in abstract Alcohol Ink and the Magie is painted in Acrylic. It is framed with a black 28cm x 28cm frame and a white mat behind glass. A hanging wire is attached to the back so it can be hung immediately.
