Midnight Tides is a striking diptych inspired by the quiet power and depth of the ocean at night. Built with layers of brushwork, each surface is covered in raised textured marks flowing vertically, creating a rhythmic cascade of tone and movement. Deep indigo, navy, and steel blue tones shift against lighter highlights, evoking the play of moonlight on water and the endless pull of the tides. Just like the sea itself, the colours change subtly with different light, enhancing the sense of mystery and depth.

Part of my Ocean’s Embrace series, these works bring a bold yet calming coastal presence into modern interiors. The fine, hand-painted details reward close inspection, while from a distance the panels flow seamlessly together as a cohesive whole. Perfect for large living rooms, bedrooms, offices, or wellness spaces, they create an atmosphere that is both grounding and meditative.

Each painting measures 61 × 152 × 4 cm and can be displayed side by side as a diptych or placed on separate walls within the same environment while still reading as connected works. They can also be hung vertically or horizontally to suit your layout. On the back, each is signed with my full name, the title, and the year of creation. The edges are painted soft grey, allowing the artworks to be hung unframed, though they can also be professionally framed to suit your space.
