Additional Information

Mystery Bay by Lisa Dangerfield – This is another painting in my “coastal series”. Having done a “plein air” painting previously and had been happy with it, I thought I’d add another one to the series. Once again I resorted to adding detail and taking artistic license in my indoor art space.

I wondered how Mystery Bay got its name, and discovered that in October 1880 a party of 5 explorers led by geologist Lamont Young set sail along the coast off Bermagui to search for potential gold mining sites. 3 days later their boat was located 15kms up the coast in what is now called Mystery Bay. The crew were missing and never seen or heard of again.
I wanted to capture the “mystery” of the place and am happy that I captured it. Hope you feel the vibe and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

This artwork is currently framed and ready to hang. Protective gloss spray.
It comes with an external frame.
Framed dimensions – 42.5(W) x 34.5(H). Artwork dimensions 35.5 x 25.5cm.

This painting is signed on the front and a laminated, numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included.

NB. I have made every effort to show the absolute exact colours of this artwork, however please be aware that there may be slight variances when viewed on different computer screens etc.

PLEASE NOTE: In the photos, where the painting is shown mounted on a wall, these are purely for illustrative purposes. You should review the dimension of the artwork to be sure the work suits your needs.
