Nature’s Hold by Cathy Gilday – I loved creating this painting, as I really enjoy using nature as my muse. The main tree, with the exposed roots that is featured in this work, was a discovery I made when walking in the Tullebudgera Conservation Park‚ which contains one of the largest tracts of mangroves on the Gold Coast. For me, it was a reminder of nature’s resilience and how it will hold on for survival, which is quite a comforting thought.
