New Horizons, Wild Hearts is a visual journey through the raw and untamed landscapes of Australia, filtered through the lens of my own experience as an immigrant. The expressive brushstrokes and vibrant hues mirror the vastness and unpredictability of the natural world, while also reflecting the internal turbulence of adapting to a new home.

The deep blues evoke winding rivers carving through rugged terrain, symbolizing both movement and belonging—echoing the emotional currents of displacement and discovery. The earthy tones and bold contrasts capture the essence of Australia’s wild, resilient beauty, where ancient land meets ever-changing skies.

Through abstraction, Alpana seek to convey not just the physical landscape but the emotional terrain of migration—the longing, the wonder, and the slow weaving of one’s identity into a new environment. This artwork is a dialogue between nature and self, between memory and transformation.
