With its distinctive laugh echoing through the bush, the Kookaburra is a beloved symbol of Australia. This small painting captures one of the many Kookaburras that frequent our balcony, keeping a close eye on us just while we enjoy watching them.

‘Perched above’ is a mixed media painting on 18cm x 24cm Yupo Paper. It is framed with a black 22cm x 28cm frame with a white mat behind glass. A hanging wire is attached to the back so it can be hung immediately.
