Quiet Moment – abstract macro flower photography by Bernadette Meyers

With the macro lens you can find all sorts of new worlds in natural forms. It is the middle of winter, still, flowers are blooming all around. I don’t know the name of these small, daisy-like flowers which grow beside the footpath. They pulled me into their quiet world so that all the people and dogs walking by faded into the background as I spent 2 hours photographing winter flowers just near the beach. The original colour was yellow, however, the feeling I got from the flowers was a lot softer. I worked the image in black and white before adding some soft pastel pink tones which express the moment more accurately.

Fine art photography limited edition print. Edition of 25 impressions. Signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity.
