Rambutan Red by Cathy Gilday – This still life is the third of my new fruit series. I have purposely set the rumbutan on a dark background making the fruit stand out in a rather elegant way. This fruit is quite amazing to look at. It has a transparent white flesh and a hairy outer layer in a gorgeous deep red colour! So far, the others in this series are of a pineapple and pears. All artists quality paints, mediums and varnish used.
