Australian flora always inspired my art as it is everywhere around me. I love to paint the leaves and Gum flowers of the Australian eucalyptus trees with their many different shapes and colours. This Watercolour/Mixed Media painting shows red gum flower buds providing a feast for the Lorikeets.

‘Red Gum Flower’ was inspired by the bold style of Margaret Preston. It is an original mixed media watercolour and acrylic painting on a 25cm x 30cm 300gsm watercolour paper mounted with a white mat in a Self Seal Cellophane bag. It is unframed.
