Remnants by Cathy Gilday – Remnants was created slowly, over a period of time. It is one of a series of fantasy landscapes I have done, that I liken to being taking on an unknown journey, not knowing exactly where I’d end up. I began with a wash of colourfast pigmented inks and then allowed my imagination to create intricate shapes and patterns. In this case, an undulating sprawling settlement of pitched teepees, nestled in amongst giant flowers and fluffy white clouds. I have framed the artwork, behind glass, with a double border mat and white frame as seen in images. Measurements including frame, 84cm x 37cm x 3 cm.
