Rockpool II, my second original artpiece in this Rockpool series, inspired by a journey along the coastline of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. This painting further expresses my experience of the natural beauty of the rock pools as light hit the surface of the water which I have expressed with pattern and various textures. I recall seeing hints of pink and mauve flowers splashed across nearby beach hillsides and these beautiful colours have come through in this abstraction.

In person, the subtle textures and detailed abstract patterns of the piece take on a new dimension. Painted to the edges in colourful drips and marks, this artwork is unique and visually appealing. The piece is offered without an external frame. I suggest a black float frame which is particularly striking, giving the piece a stylish aesthetic.
