Scales – One from my homonym series. I just love the challenge of creating an image by depicting the various objects that share the same name and spelling. In this painting I have chosen the word “Scales”. What fun I had combining piano, weighing & fish scales grouped together to produce this painting.  I decided on red/orange water as opposed to more conventional blue/green water, as I wanted to achieve a different image to the more common cool colour palette.  Impasto, iridescent paint highlights on the fish add to the impression of movement & vitality. The black & white double frame adds impact to this painting. Lucky for me there are so many homonyms in the English language that I believe I will never run out of words to inspire future artworks in this series.

This painting is signed on the front and a laminated, numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included.

PLEASE NOTE: In the photos, where the painting is shown mounted on a wall, these are purely for illustrative purposes. You should review the dimension of the artwork to be sure the work suits your needs.
