Seawall by Narelle Callen –  is an abstract painting influenced by the seawalls that jut into the sea to protect the beaches from erosion. They often are made of rock and have sand on and around them. People often use them to fish off, but really they are there to control the sand erosion by the tides. They often protrude out into quite deep water, especially if between inlet beaches and river ways. As a child, we always holidayed at the beach, there were several of these seawalls near where we swam and fished.  The view of the seawall is from above, as if you are flying overhead looking down on the ocean, river and seawall.  It has a peaceful, calm feel to it.

The painting is an original artwork by Narelle Callen.
