Some Other Time by Saren Dobkins – shows an abstracted profile of a head deep in contemplation. She looks outwards surrounded by a deep blue space. Beneath lies a bird, waiting. The bird radiates her energy, like a heart beat. She waits for the time she is needed. Birds feature frequently in my work as a muse, connecting the ‘head’ to the possibilities out there. While it lies down, this shows a time of waiting. We all have times in our lives when we need to wait for inspiration. The bird represents the potential for our creativity to take flight once again.
