Strangers On The Shore – Inspiration for this painting came to me a 3 am one morning. I was sound asleep when an image and music woke me. It was such a wonderful dream that I scribbled it down on my notepad (which is always on my beside table, just in case I get a nocturnal inspiration) to make sure that I didn’t forget it. Tried to get a few more hours sleep but finally got out of bed and into my studio at 7 am to get started on it. Painted it while Aka Bilk’s music including “Stranger on the shore” played in the background. Absolutely thrilled with this conversion of my idea to a image on canvas. Do hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
