Additional Information

I was inspired to create this painting for two reasons. The first was because I have had a pot of the ‘Candelabra Cactus,’ also known as the ‘African Milk Tree,’ growing in my garden for many years. It always reminds me of a group of people standing together, with the odd little one on their shoulders. Secondly, the colours of the foliage, are so bright and spectacular, it can easily make you forget that their thorns can be very spiteful. I can’t resist exaggerating the colours, as I think it gives each leaf an individual personality. Framed and Ready to hang.
