The Long Way Round is an original painting inspired by undulating open paddocks, farm fences and gates.  These paddocks are ones I see most days and I’ve watched the light and weather change as it moves across the land.  The fields themselves feed a small herd of cattle, and the colour of the grass changes as the year passes through its seasons.

The style of painting is contemporary landscape, slightly abstracted and nothing you could ever put you finger on to identify.  It allows you to read into it your own impression and story.
