These Precious Moments by Michelle Gilks is part of a series of works exploring colour freedom and the magic that can happen when colour plays well together!  This original abstract painting was created while contemplating the preciousness of time; the thought that time is both limitless and ‘but a blink’.

In this painting, the pale aqua blue provides a  surface on which the other colours come to dance.  The depth of the dark blue and purple puts one in the mind of a vortex in space or the entry to a cave of wonders.  Splashes of pastel pink and white offset the darker tones and give the painting a sense of optimism.

This painting was lovingly created using acrylic paint on thick stretched canvas. The sides have been professionally painted. It is unframed, but ready to hang.
