Trimmings – an original painting by Sigrid Patterson.

Trimmings shows a young banksia cone that was snapped off the tree by a yellow tailed black cockatoo. This is a usual occurrence in my garden as plants are trimmed and pruned by the wildlife. It keeps my studio full and provides inspiration for paintings.

This piece is acrylic on canvas and framed in a Tasmanian box frame. The painting is varnished and the frame is partially painted and all waxed. It is wired and ready to hang. Including the frame, the piece is 63 x 43cm.
