I hope that my art captures something true about the world — the beauty of the ordinary, the complexity of human interaction, the intensity of an emotion. My art is largely figurative and I attempt to represent what I see and experience with a sense of appreciation and humour. My work is colourful and eye-catching and can tend towards the naive, sometimes incorporating elements of fantasy. I like my art to tell a story, to prompt the viewer to think ‘I know exactly how that feels,’ or to inspire a sense of joy, longing or nostalgia.

This artwork is painted on a recycled board and framed with a recycled frame. The painting is varnished with a matt varnish. The back is finished neatly with tape and wire, ready to hang, as per images. The recycled frame has minor scratches and imperfections which adds to the vintage appeal.
