Additional Information

When Stillness Comes by Bernadette Meyers, fine art photographer.

It was a bright, clear, crisp winter morning during lockdown time and people were allowed out in groups of two. So many people standing at a distance from each other while trying to form conversations. As I walked along the foreshore, I noticed that some were old friends and acquaintances, but there were also strangers, brought together because of our common experience of isolation. What a paradox!

The water was glistening with sunlight dancing across the bay. Sailboats gently bobbing in their moorings. I used an old vintage lens to make this photo, leaving the shutter open for a long time as I moved the camera to soften the image and give a dreamy feel to it.
