We are so lucky living in a part of Brisbane where plenty of these magnificent birds live. Quite often they wake me up in the morning with their raucous loud screeching, telling me it’s time to start the day. We often see these birds in flocks, foraging together on the ground. But we are not feeding these beautiful birds as they can get very destructive if you stop feeding them.
‘Yellow Crested Cockatoo’ started out as a fluid acrylic pour and I was waiting for quite some time before I knew what I wanted to embellish it with. And the colours of this bird just go so well with this background.
This fluid acrylic painting is on a water colour paper 22cm wide x 22cm high and it is framed with a simple black frame 28cm x 28cm. The painting is finished with a white mat and protected by Perspex. 2 D-rings and hanging wire are attached to the back and it is ready to hang. The ‘Hoverlay’ image shows the supplied frame.

Because of the size of the painting, it is categorised as “small format art”.

Why collecting small art?

Small art pieces fit on narrow wall spaces or on a shelf with an easel.
Small artwork gives you the opportunity to rearrange or arrange small art pieces together in a group
