Most of my art is inspired by nature and its natural textures. Pebbles, stones and rocks have always fascinated me. They are not only interesting for their shape, texture, and patterns, but also what they represent for me and many others as they contain the power of Mother Earth within their bodies. Always looking for special and different pebbles, I collected them from every corner of the world to create my own ‘Zen Garden’ as many rock gardens are created for the purpose of inciting meditation, calmness and grounding energy.

For this pebble painting I was experimenting with water colours on 300 gsm. Working on the texture and shape of these small rocks is meditation in itself.  The 30cm x 30cm painting is mounted on a white laminate board and framed with a 43cm x 43cm modern white frame. Two d-rings are attached to the back and it is ready for hanging.

Paintings in this size are dynamic collectibles. Art lovers can build a collection of these medium sized pictures by theme, artist, medium or even a similar colour.
